It is to raise funds for Corscombe and Halstock First Responders. Who are they you may be asking? Community First Responders Schemes are made up of volunteers who within the area they live or work have been trained by the South Western Ambulance Service to attend specific emergencies in areas that are difficult to reach by ambulance within eight minutes. They are trained in basic life support and are equipped with defibrillators (for cardiac arrests) oxygen and first-aid equipment to provide vital life support until an emergency ambulance response arrives. A patient who suffers cardiac arrest stands an 85 chance of survival if they are defibrillated immediately. These odds decrease by 10 with every minute that passes without treatment. Therefore to improve the chance of patient survival a quick response is needed. Larry Miller is one of the UKs premier rockin blues guitarists. His legendary performances have won him acclaim around the world. Returning to Mr Kyps to play tunes from his latest studio album entitled Outlaw Blues. As the youngest son of a highly artistic and musical family from Guildford Larry picked up his first guitar at the age of 7. After studying violin at The County School of Music in Surrey for 7 years he chose to concentrate solely on his guitar.
